Book Review – The Wiersbe Study Bible

I’m a huge fan of people having access to, or daily using a study bible. Especially one from a reputable editor.

This bible is offered in New King James with various cover options. Mine is leathersoft but there was also a genuine leather option as well. The feel and appearance of the bible itself is great, and I love that publishers are beginning to use the lay flat design. I hate breaking the spine on a book when trying to get it to sit well on a desk.

The text size is easy to read and the new font used is comfortable on the eyes and makes reading more enjoyable. That said there is a size difference between the scripture and notes which likely serves to keep the size of the bible down. Besides the study notes there are various topical sections which help the reader to have a better understanding of what is being spoken of, a partial concordance and a few maps.

Readers will also find a decent introduction to each book, cross references for scripture and the ever handy ribbon book mark. If you are a fan/user of the NKJV I recommend this study bible, as the ease of use and helpful notes are great.

*I received this bible free from the publisher through Book Look Bloggers in exchange for an honest review. These are my personal thoughts.
